I'm gonna start with Voice Lessons.
If you happen to know Brett Manning, then I'm sure you know that
he is a very well known personality in the music world. He trained some
of the award winning singers in the US music industry and he is also one of the judges
cum coach for the reality music show Can You Duet ?
More than a year ago I guess, if my memory serves me right , he started
sharing his talent to the world by launching his Website.
At present , he is giving lessons across the world through this medium.
For your information , a year ago I've purchased Brett Manning's "Full Singing Success Program"after I stumbled across his free workshop videos on YouTube . I've decided to purchased this product because I wanted to improve my voice quality and range. Why? This story will tell you why.
I just don't know why whenever there is a party in my circle of friends or colleagues , the karaoke singing is always part of the program. I dreaded this part because I knew all along that my voice was utterly low and left handed.
So, out of desperation, I ordered the program (12 DVDs) and started doing the exercises. I practiced bit by bit for almost a month, with some encouragements and some pushing from my wife. By the way , my wife is always my savior whenever my friends push me to sing . I tell them that my wife's voice is incredible and she'll sing on my behalf. That's how I normally survive.
So, let's go back to my story. After doing those weird voice exercises regularly. My wife noticed that my voice range and register was improving whenever she hears me singing tough songs.
To make sure my wife was not just giving encouraging words to me, I recorded myself singing. Then, the next day I let my colleagues listen to the recorded song during break time. To my surprise, they right away recognized that it was my voice. One colleague commented, "You've got a good voice but how come you never sing for us during our parties? So next party, you will be the first one to sing. No more excuses".
So, from that comment, I got my confidence boost. Then came the next party, it wasn't only my wife who was singing , I also belted out some tough songs to the surprise of my colleagues.
Now, I let my kids practice the voice exercises and they are beginning to like it.
My family is now becoming a musically inclined family, which I like so much. Who knows, maybe one of my kids will turn into a very good singer or musician someday.
